If you believe it, run at it for real
Written in Korean in my notes. Translated, lightly cleaned up.
If you have a belief, you have to actually run in that direction, and mean it.
Right now I believe that meeting people through networking and getting a job through a referral is far more effective, so I fly to SF and back for meetups, I send LinkedIn messages that mostly go unanswered, and when a good job shows up on LinkedIn I send an application that probably won't land. Why? Because even as a third party looking in, I believe this is the best way. So I keep running down this road. Even when I don't feel like it, I have to put in the reps.
But this is different from mindlessly firing off applications on LinkedIn. You have to be smart about it: if a strategy hasn't worked in eight months, you have to be able to change it. You have to build the strategy with a lot of advice from people around you who have done it.
